Star Trek: Nemesis
Released on December 13, 2002, Nemesis is the 10th feature film in the Star Trek franchise and the 4th (and last) to feature the main cast of The Next Generation. It was directed by Stuart Baird, produced by Rick Berman, and written by John Logan.
Summary: Remans are second-class citizens in the Romulan Star Empire, forced to work as slaves mining dilithium crystals on the permanently dark side of the planet Remus. After a Reman named Shinzon (Tom Hardy) becomes Praetor of the Empire in a coup d'état, the USS Enterprise-E is sent as a Federation envoy. The diplomatic mission appears to go smoothly until the crew discovers that Shinzon is actually a dying clone of Picard looking to take his body, conquer the Federation, and destroy Earth.
Connection to Hamlet:
Just before destroying Shinzon's ship, the Scimitar, Troi's cry of revenge is "remember me," the same phrase used by the Ghost in Act I, Scene V to command Hamlet to revenge his father's murder. This is the final Shakespeare quotation of all the Star Trek films to date.
